Scale

Salad Ingredients

  • 2 tins sardines, packed in oil
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • ¼ cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 whole lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the sardines, green onions, minced garlic, capers, parsley, olive oil, and freshly squeezed lemon juice together in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix and Mash: Using two forks, mash and stir the ingredients together until well combined. You can leave the texture chunky or continue mixing for a smoother consistency based on your preference.
  3. Serve: The sardine salad is now ready to eat. Serve it with crackers as a tasty party appetizer or use it as a filling for sandwiches.

Notes

  • Adjust texture to your liking by mashing more or less.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of chili flakes or black pepper.
  • Make sure to drain excess oil for a less oily salad, if desired.
  • Best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
