Sliders
- 1 package Savory Butter Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 12 slices Black Forest ham
- 6 slices Havarti cheese
Buttery Topping
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- Prepare rolls and baking dish: Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Carefully remove the top half and set it aside. Lightly grease a 9×12-inch baking pan with butter and place the bottom half of the rolls inside the pan.
- Add ham and cheese: Layer each individual roll with one slice of Black Forest ham and half a slice of Havarti cheese, distributing evenly across the batch.
- Prepare and add buttery topping: In a microwavable bowl, melt the salted butter by heating it for about 30 seconds. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce (if using), onion powder (if using), and poppy seeds to create a flavorful butter glaze. Place the reserved top half of the rolls back over the ham and cheese, then generously brush the poppy seed butter mixture over the tops.
- Bake: Loosely cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for about 15 minutes. Afterward, remove the foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns turn golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can substitute Black Forest ham with your favorite deli ham variety.
- Make sure not to separate the rolls when slicing to maintain easy serving as sliders.
- If you prefer a vegetarian option, substitute the ham with grilled vegetables or a plant-based deli slice and ensure the cheese is suitable for vegetarians.
- Adjust baking time slightly depending on your oven for perfectly melted cheese and golden buns.
